Festive Shelter Ideas
Fun in the sun for your Christmas party is a great idea. It provides your guests with a relaxed vibe, however, it’s important to make sure that your guests have plenty of shelter. Whether the shelter is a marquee or your very own patio, keeping your guests out of the sun and potential rain ensures that your party goes off without a hitch.
If your outdoor Christmas party goes into the evening, the shelter also offers the perfect opportunity to hang Christmas lights and incorporate other lighting options. Additionally, it allows you to add festive decorations that align with your party theme, enhancing the overall ambience and creating a cozy, inviting environment.
Festive and Delicious Food Ideas
When planning your outdoor Christmas party, food plays a crucial role in creating a successful experience for your guests. A beautifully prepared roast or an enticing seafood buffet can certainly steal the show and impress everyone. However, if you’re looking to keep costs down without sacrificing quality, consider a variety of finger foods and tasty treats.
These options not only allow for a more casual dining experience but also encourage the all-important mingling among guests. Think of platters filled with gourmet cheeses, fresh fruits, mini quiches, and savoury pastries. These bite-size delights are easy to enjoy while standing or walking around. You can also incorporate BBQ options, like skewers or sliders, which are perfect for an outdoor setting.
Don’t forget the sweets! Traditional Christmas pudding is a must-have for a festive touch, but you might also want to include other desserts like pavlova, trifle, or Christmas cookies to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
Safe Transport
No matter where you are having your event it is your responsibility as a host to make sure your guests can arrive and return safely from the party. You can organise for different guests to carpool or make sure they can take a taxi or Uber home if you plan to supply alcohol.
If your party is in a remote location or you have a large number of people, organizing a bus can be a great idea. The trip can be a great way to build anticipation and make your guests even more excited about what you have in store!
